The first 3D Multipass tutorial is freely available to everyone who visits my website. If you enjoy it please consider purchasing my Creative After Effects book which contains many more in depth tutorials on Adobe After Effects and related topics. It also includes a free CD ROM full of goodies and training materials for your delectation! These are the first in a series of After Effects 5.5 update tutorials I am writing for people who have bought version 5 of the book. The other 5.5 tutorials listed here, including the Talking dog tutorial on Lip Synching and the forthcoming Smart Mask Interpolation are password protected so that only owners of my Creative After Effects 5.0 book can open them. I welcome feedback from readers as it is essential to the growth and development of the book and website. If you have any comments or feedback please feel free to contact me via the contacts page.

This tutorial shows you how to use Motion Math scripts and Time Remapping on a 3D - rendered character to automate the process of lip-synching. I used this technique in an animated program which was broadcast on a major UK TV network. The tutorial is based on the After Effects 5.5 Production Bundle but can also be followed using the version 5.0 PB. |
